Sharing growth with its internal and external stakeholders is a priority for L’Ore?al. The Group fosters access to work through a range of programmes, includes suppliers in its sustainable development commitments, and ensures that its employees around the world benefit from the best social practices.
Promoting access to employment and social inclusion
By the end of 2020, L’Oréal will have helped more than 100,000 people from underprivileged communities gain access to employment. To achieve this goal, the Group has developed multiple initiatives: Solidarity Sourcing projects, vocational training and the inclusion of people with disabilities within its teams. In 2018, 63,584people from underprivileged communities gained access to employment.
Joining forces with our suppliers around our commitments
By 2020, 100% of L’Oréal’s strategic suppliers will be involved in our sustainability programme. The Group’s objective is twofold: to select its suppliers based on their environmental and social performance and to provide them with the necessary tools needed to improve their performance.
Putting employees at the centre of our commitments
L’Oréal’s ambition is to provide all of its employees with access to health cover, financial protection and training, wherever they are in the world. Employees also benefit from a working environment and office buildings with improved environmental and social impacts.
